Human cardiomyocytes are derived from ventricles that have been dissociated into single cells and purified in culture. Human cardiomyocytes are from a single donor. Human cardiomyocytes may be used for various types of in vitro, in vivo, or transplantation."Cardiac muscle, a unique type of striated muscle in the human heart, is composed of single Cardiac Myocytes (HCM). Be-cause they are responsible for the myo-genic contraction of the whole cardiac muscle, Cardiac Myocytes are the most physically energetic cells in the body. Gentaur Human Cardiac Myocytes are produced at Gentaur's cell culture fa-cility from normal human ventricle tissue of the adult heart. Unlike freshly isolated rod-shaped myocytes, Gentaur HCM are suitable for long-term experiments, as they are prepared according to a spe-cial protocol.Shortly after isolation, all Gentaur Human Cardiac Myocytes are cryo-preserved at assage 2 (P2) using Gentaur's proprietary serum-free freezing medium, Cryo-SFM. Each cryo vial contains more than 500,000 viable cells after thawing.Proliferating cell cultures are made from 500,000 cryopreserved cells that have been thawed and cultured for three days at Gentaur."
